Many animal shelters say they have too many cats and dogs in need of homes. For years, it has been debated what the best approach would be to control the pet overpopulation problem and the overflowing animal shelter population. With rebounds from the pandemic, and staffing challenges, this documentary explores the pet crisis happening in America and what local animal shelters are doing to help.
This short film took over 6 months to film, edit, and produce. Due to filming and photography limitations inside shelters, out of the ten shelters contacted, only 2 decided to partipcate in the documentary.
